BearsCanberra

BearsCanberra is a not-for-profit, community, social club for ‘Bears’ and like-minded men. As our name suggests we are a Canberra based club, but we don’t restrict our membership to the Canberra region – we welcome members and friends from anywhere in the world. Since its formation in September 1996 BearsCanberra has given real support to our community and has provided our members with regularly scheduled social events, including our monthly dinners and afternoons at the bar. Our members enjoy other benefits too, such as discounts on merchandise and discount entry to a number of local and interstate venues.

Hume Phoenix

Hume Phoenix is a social support group for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (GLBTIQ) people, and their family and friends, living in the Albury-Wodonga region. The incorporated group organises a range events to connect people in the area and provide a safe space for those new to the GLBTIQ community. Hume Phoenix also aims to increase acceptance and tolerance of the GLBTIQ community by raising the profile of the group in a positive manner. Hume Phoenix also aims to promote health-based messages, specific to the GLBTIQ community, to its members.
